Voyage Galapagos (GAA) - 6 days

Amazing wildlife is the draw of the remote Galapagos Islands, and our yachts are the ideal way to explore them. The 72-foot G.A.P Adventurer I accommodates 16 passengers in 8 double occupancy ocean view cabins, each with AC and private bath. The 2-level wrap-around deck is ideal for relaxing. Staff includes a level III naturalist guide, the highest level certified by the Charles Darwin Research Station.

Itinerary

Day: Description:
1 Arrive Quito
Arrive in Quito at any time.
2 Baltra (B, L, D)
Early flight to Baltra, in the Galapagos Islands. Meet your naturalist guide and transfer to your boat, the G.A.P Adventurer I. Visit Bachas beach in the afternoon. Set sail and reach Seymour Island in the late afternoon. Observe the great bird life of the island. Spot the magnificent frigate birds, blue-footed boobies and swallow-tailed gulls. You may also catch a glimpse of sea lions and several species of endemic plants.
3 Bartholomé (B, L, D)
Arrive at Bartholomé Island early in the morning. Enjoy a short hike and take in the pure air and awesome views of San Salvador Island. Learn about the geological history of Bartholomé, as your naturalist explains its dramatic volcanic features, including unusual splatter cones. Sometimes it is possible to see the rare Galapagos penguin, of which only 800 pairs exist.
4 Rabida (B, L, D)
Cruise to Rabida Island and visit a salt water lagoon rich in wildlife and vegetation. A large sea lions colony provides great photo opportunities.
5 Santa Cruz (B)
Arrive in the morning at Puerta Ayora, on Santa Cruz Island. Stop by the Charles Darwin Research Station and learn all about the giant Galapagos tortoise. Fly to Quito and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
