Australia's west coast boasts some of the world's best beaches, relatively untouched by tourism, set against a backdrop of lush rainforest and rugged outback terrain. Our adventure takes us from Broome to Perth, bringing you face-to-face with the region's natural wonders and exposing you to an exciting range of unique experiences. The distances are vast, amenities sometimes sparse and isolation palpable, but the rewards rich beyond belief.

Itinerary

Day: Description:
1 Broome:
Hop on the Broome Heritage Trail and take in the town's historical sights, hit the beach or check out the latest flick at the world's oldest outdoor cinema.
2 Eighty Mile Beach:
See a unique part of Australia's heritage in Broome's Japanese cemetery. Head south and unwind by the coast, watching a magnificent sunset on Eighty Mile Beach.
3-4 Karijini National Park:
Swap the ocean for the outback and Karijini National Park's combination of dramatic gorges, tumbling waterfalls and cool swimming holes. Be at one with nature as we explore the main sights before a cooling dip in Fortescue Falls.
5-6 Coral Bay:
Swim, snorkel or scuba dive in Coral Bay, an ocean sanctuary for whale sharks, dugongs, manta rays and sea turtles. At Ningaloo Marine Park, Western Australia's largest coral reef, you might like to go snorkelling in a colourful world of more than 200 species of coral.
7 Monkey Mia:
Enjoy a close encounter with dolphins at Monkey Mia and embark on a cultural tour of World Heritage-listed Shark Bay with our Aboriginal hosts.
8-9 Kalbarri:
Relax by a campfire on our outback ranch stay by the Murchison River after a day of exploration in the rugged Kalbarri National Park.
10-11 Perth:
Sports-lovers may want to see a game of Australian Rules football while nature buffs can check out Rottnest Island.
