Learn about rural ways of life in Angahuan, a Purepechan community. Explore by horseback, hike around Paricutin Volcano or walk across the lava fields. Alternatively, visit the Waterfalls of Tzararacua, or maybe the ruins of Tingambato. |

Pátzcuaro:
Spend the afternoon marvelling at the beautiful plazas and colonial buildings in this magical city. From woodcarvings to pottery, the towns around Pátzcuaro are known for creating exceptional handcrafted products. We take a boat ride out to the famous island of Janitzio and also visit Tzintzuntzan, the capital of the ancient Tarascan kingdom. |

Morelia:
Take some time to explore one of the first Spanish cities in Nueva España. The historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the atmosphere with a coffee in one of the many cafés round the Zócalo. |

El Rosario / Angangueo:
Pass by scenic countryside on the way to El Rosario, a magnificent monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. Complete with visitor center, walkways and forested trails, millions of butterflies congregate at this sanctuary every year. |

Sierra Chincua:
Depart Angangueo in the morning and travel to Sierra Chincua reserve where we visit another butterfly sanctuary. Enjoy great scenic hikes as we enter the sanctuary and are met by millions of colorful butterflies. Return to Mexico City in the evening. |
