International Student Identity Cards (ISIC)
The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is the essential travel card designed especially for students. Since it was first introduced in 1968 by the International Student Travel Confederation, more than 40 million students around the world have enjoyed the benefits of an ISIC. You'll save hundreds of dollars on travel, accommodation, sports rentals, and admissions to museums and cultural attractions. The ISIC World Travel Handbook, available free with an ISIC, provides discount information on more than 90 countries. Check out sample savings here.
Eligibility:
Full-time students over the age of 12 attending a secondary or post-secondary institution.
To obtain an ISIC you will need to provide:
- A completed ISIC application. Click here for a PDF version.
- A passport size photo of yourself.
- Proof of full-time student status as defined by your educational institution.
- A photocopy of your student card (with picture) clearly indicating full-time student status for the current school year and a photocopy of another picture ID (i.e. driver's license); OR
- A letter from your school registrar bearing the seal of the institution and confirming full-time student status for the current school year and a photocopy of another picture ID (i.e. driver's license); OR
- A signed and sealed School Declaration as outlined on the ISIC application and a photocopy of another picture ID (i.e. driver's license).

PLEASE NOTE: If you purchase an Adventure Travel Company special fare that requires an ISIC, you will need your ISIC at the time of boarding your flight. If you don't have your ISIC with you, the airline may deny you boarding. If you are eligible, you can still book a student fare even if you don't yet have the ISIC. You can click here to access a PDF of the application form, and the completed application form must be sent in to Adventure Travel Company within 3 business days.
