Tour: Discover Romania (IMT)
Duration: 10 Days
Cost: $1,635 USD

"If you are the type of traveler who feels there is more to a vacation than sun-bathing at an all-inclusive resort, then I implore you to not only visit but experience and appreciate the rich culture of Romania.

Romania is filled with ancient castles, medieval towns, folklore, superstition and legend. All of these elements combined with picturesque towns make for a truly unique travel experience. The tour begins in Bucharest, which has a number of landmark buildings and monuments. Perhaps the most remarkable being the Palace of the Parliament, built in the 1980’s. From there the journey continues into Sinaia, which is a popular city for hiking and winter sports. You may even spot members of the Romania Royal Family, as this is their city of residence. You will visit several other cultural and active locals on this 10-day trip, with my personal favorite being Cluj Napoca- the one time capital of Transylvania. As you wander down the cobble stone streets of this medieval town you won't help but conjure up images of a certain Bram Stoker novel. Enjoy! "
