"It's true what most guide books have described about Morocco's hypnotic charm, how easily it will rub off on you. I found this out myself in Marrakech's central square called Djemaa el Fna. It was there that I became bewitched listening to spellbinding Berber musicians. Amazement and confusion reigned as my Arabic vocabulary is limited to Salaam, 'Hello' and Shukran, 'Thank You'. Turning around you see the incredible street acrobats taking over a huge space to tumble around. So much excitement and it happens each and every night. It's my kind of happening city! Yet there was still more as I was open to finding out about Islamic architecture, with its intricate mosaic tiles, old Medinas, and coloured carpet souqs. I even bought myself a flowy djellaba! In the great Imperial cities of Casablanca, Rabat, Fes and Meknes, be ready to smell the scents of fresh mint and spices ...nothing could be more stimulating."
