Taj, Tigers & Palaces (EYW)

 A memorable journey taking in some of North India’s highlights: the contrasting atmospheres of the capital of New Delhi and vibrant street life and markets of the old city, the splendid Mughal architecture of the Taj Mahal and the nearby ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri and the forts and palaces of the 'Pink City' of Jaipur. But we’ll also have the chance to experience a more rural lifestyle off the beaten track in the lakeside town of Pushkar and also in Pachewar where we will learn about life in a typical village. We may also spot some of India’s fabulous wildlife, including the Royal Bengal Tiger, at the world famous Ranthambore National Park in addition to the myriad bird species which frequent the sanctuary of Keoladeo Ghana National Park near Bharatpur. As well as ourown group bus we’ll try out various different forms of transport including a journey by train, cycle rickshaws, bullock drawn cart and we may even get to ride an Elephant!
