3 Lake Rotoiti/Rotorua
Enjoy a traditional 'hangi' meal and warm hospitality in a 'marae', a Maori meeting place, on the shores of Lake Rotoiti.
4-5 Tongariro National Park
Discover the inspiration for Mt Doom in 'The Lord of the Rings' films and explore the region by following one of many walking trails through the national park.
6-7 Napier
Explore New Zealand's wine country by bicycle. In Napier, there are many galleries, heritage trails, country gardens and art deco buildings to explore in your spare time.
8-9 Wellington
Head to Mt Victoria for panoramic views or take a cable car up to the Botanic Gardens.
10 Marlborough Sounds
Take in views of hidden coves and lush forests on the Queen Charlotte walking track.
