Itinerary

Day: Description:
1-4 Hanoi & Halong Bay:
Arrive in Hanoi and take a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter, the best way to get to know the ancient laneways and local people. Discover historic Ba Dinh Square and take time at Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and Museum, and the One Pillar Pagoda. Spend a magical evening aboard your private boat, cruising the waters of Halong Bay.
5 Reunification Express & Hue:
Take an exciting overnight train to Hue, Vietnam’s imperial capital. Visit the Citadel, seat of power during the Nguyen Dynasty, as well as tombs of former emperors. You will even have the chance to play emperor yourself at a regal feast!
6-7 Hoi An:
Hoi An’s architecture, delicacies and friendly local people make her a true Vietnam highlight. Learn how to plant rice and enjoy a cyclo ride through her backstreets. Spend your free time exploring the tailor shops and galleries of the Ancient Town, relaxing at the nearby beach, or perhaps attending a cooking demonstration. Take a cruise down the Thu Bon River to arrive near the Central Market just as the fishermen do each morning at dawn; early risers won’t want to miss this spectacle!
8-12 Saigon & Mekong Delta:
Fly to Vietnam’s most exciting city, Saigon. A walking tour to the most iconic sights in District One will acquaint you with the Opera House, the Hotel de Ville, and Dong Khoi Street. Visit the nearby Cu Chi Tunnels to learn about the tenacity and resilience of the Vietnamese. Travel into the Mekong Delta and cycle around a small village, where you will spend the night at a memorable home-stay, before returning to Saigon.
